Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Delegates and Industry Partners,

I am honored to extend my warmest greetings to all of you as we prepare to convene for 72nd Continuing Orthopaedic Education (COE) of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), hosted in the culinary city of Padang.

On behalf of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), it is my privilege to welcome you to this significant gathering, taking place from the 29 May to 1 June 2024 in The ZHM Premiere Hotel, Padang, West Sumatera. We are honored that this meeting in Padang is also a combined meeting of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) and Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA). The theme for our meeting is Challenges in Managing Complex Neglected Orthopaedic Cases: Optimizing Resources in the Developing Countries.

This meeting is an exceptional opportunity for us to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and strengthen our collective resolve to improve the lives of those affected by complex neglected orthopaedic cases. Our programme for this meeting is thoughtfully curated to encompass the latest research findings, best practices, and innovations. I am excited about the connections that will be forged and the collaborations that will be initiated during this meeting. Let us embrace this opportunity to network, share our experiences, and inspire one another.

I urge all members of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) and also to General Practitioner and other specialist to mark the dates in your gadget and arrange your transportation early to enjoy the fruitful discussions and enduring friendships. One thing for sure the success of the 72nd of COE will also need the participation and support of pharmaceutical and health care product companies as well. In this occasion, hopefully all the companies will participate in the exhibition of the 72nd of Continuing Orthopaedic Education (COE) of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA).

I am especially pleasant that our meeting will be held full of offline and the main topic will be covered by a number of distinguished guest speaker, free paper section and poster presentations. The Collaboration of International Association as well as scientific activities will be the Right-lights of this meeting. The success of the 72nd Continuing Orthopaedic Education (COE) of Indonesian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), will also need the participation and support of the whole members.

On behalf of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend my warmest congratulations to the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association for organizing this significant combined meeting. This collaboration is a crucial step in our joint effort to improve orthopaedic care and knowledge in our area.

The theme of this conference, "Challenges in Managing Complex Neglected Orthopaedic Cases: Optimizing Resources in Developing Countries," resonates deeply with the realities faced by orthopaedic professionals across both Indonesia and Malaysia. In our respective nations, we encounter a diverse array of orthopaedic cases, often complicated by limited resources and unique socio-economic factors. By coming together to address these challenges head-on, we can leverage our collective knowledge and experience to optimize patient care and outcomes.

I firmly believe that this combined meeting will serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue, learning, and networking among orthopaedic professionals from both nations.
